Our interventions in the field of international cooperation place the organisations and people we work with at the centre of projects to contribute to viable and sustainable development that respects local cultures where the people targeted are the driving force for change.
For this reason, our actions offer educational tools that, through art, encourage participation, respect, dialogue and tolerance, in order to build a more just world.
Since its creation in 2006, Creart has developed projects in various fields: it has been working through international cooperation projects (always with an educational component) in Senegal, Colombia, Iran, Afghanistan, and continuously in the occupied Palestinian territories of the West Bank and the Gaza Strip. In these areas it has specialized in projects of psychosocial accompaniment to groups of refugee or displaced populations mainly made up of children and women and of other communities also in situations of social vulnerability in countries in war or post-conflict and natural disasters.
In addition to working directly with the people, Creart has also conducted training for groups of volunteer educators from local organisations in refugee camps, from outlying areas to major urban centres, and groups of counsellors from the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA).
Over the years Creart has also specialised in training trainers (psychologists, social workers and young volunteers) for local partners to provide them with tools for the psychosocial accompaniment of children through art, thus supporting the psychological and health care programmes of the local organisations with which our organisation works.
